These are similar to fillings, in that they replace decayed or broken teeth. But because of their size, extent and position these must be fabricated in the dental laboratory then cemented to your teeth. They can be made of porcelain, gold or composite. Inlays fit onto your teeth, but onlays sit on top of the teeth or remaining tooth structure.
